Welcome to the Berkshire Youth Ballet (BYB) website.

BYB is an organisation aimed at young dancers, with the purpose of giving them the opportunity to perform with other dancers from around Berkshire and gain experience from being involved in productions with different teachers, choreographers and cast members. Our intention is to develop their knowledge and passion of dance by exposing them to new forms of dance as well as developing their Ballet techniques.

I am extremely passionate about dance and performance and my main aim is to inspire the dancers to love dance the way I do. I think as a young dancer it is too easy to get caught up in exams, while I think these are essential (dancers must all be studying a ballet syllabus to be a part of BYB), what is the point of dance without enjoying it!

The coming months will hold masterclasses in many different dance forms, this is to futher inspire the dancers and to extend thier knowledge, therefor improving thier current technique by learning new ways to move.
We have Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Salsa and many other styles in store for you!

The next set of auditions for our third production, will be held in June 2010.

Our most important objective is to encourage the dancers' passion to dance and enjoy themselves!
As the director and choreographer of the BYB shows, I feel it is essential to give as much of my passion that I have for Ballet and dance that I can and I hope in return, to develop the love of dance for all these talented, young dancers.
