PRODUCTION INFORMATION

Berkshire Youth Ballet Auditions will take place on Sunday 13th June; rehearsals are Sept 2010 - Feb 2010 with the production in Feb 2010.

Audition times will be emailed to auditionees so all must apply with the application forms in advance. Please email hailey@berkshireyouthballet.com for further details.

REHEARSALS

Rehearsals will take place at West Wing Arts Centre in Slough, Berkshire.
It is about 10 minutes away from the M4, junction 6.

The Arts centre has 3 fully equipped dance studios, a waiting area for the parents and a working theatre (for rehearsals, the production will be at Bearwood Theatre).

Slough has 2 huge shopping centres perfect for parents to go off and do some shopping while they wait as well as a huge Tesco extra! (Random information I know but it's useful to know that there are things to do, Windsor is also only 10 minutes away if you fancy somewhere different!).

COSTS

Rehearsals will be £80.00 for the whole course.

Costumes are between £10.00 - £30.00 each (with hire fees of £25.00 per tutu) all dancers will be in 3 dances, so there would be a minimum of 3x£10-30 to pay out.

Tickets are £10.00 each and the production will take place at Bearwood theatre.

Membership is £35.00 per year and this includes master classes for the rest of the school year after the production has taken place as well as a Berkshire Youth Ballet official leotard.

This is such a fantastic opportunity for young dancers, they have all, after every production been so positive and confident and the feedback from teachers has been really brilliant.

Students develop their ability to pick up free steps, work with different styles of teaching (essential if the dancer is planning to go into Dance as a profession) and learn to work as part of a team of different dancers.

Confidence is built, friends are made and passion is developed, all in all the dancers gain a huge amount from this production.
