The story

3 sisters live in an orphanage where they are very miserable. Their mean, horrible headmistress named Miss Du Rose forces the girls to clean and work all day every day.

One midnight the youngest sister wakes up to see the old toy box in the corner moving and rattling on its on, a bright light is shining through the cracks. She creeps over to the toy box and opens the lid. She is thrown back as the light and toys are exploded out of the toy box and then a full size ballerina wind up doll steps out!

The ballerina doll dances about them but runs out of energy, the last thing she does as she is dancing is show them a huge pot of magic. The sisters go over to the pot and sprinkle the magic over all of the toys and wind the ballerina doll back up, one by one the toys dance for them and at the end of the night they all return to their beds happy that they have a little bit of magic left and a small gift each from the various toys.

At the end of the evening, they all fall asleep, the sun rises and they are woken up by the headmistress, they get out of bed and start cleaning as the other orphans come in.

Suddenly 2 grown ups walk in the room...potential parents! The orphans all try to impress the couple who walk around the room and finally pick the littlest sister, but she wont let go of her 2 other sisters, Miss Du Rose takes them away from the 3 and tries to point out other children but the couple keep looking back at the sisters, they whisper to each other and finally decide to have all 3 girls!

They all live happily ever after.
