Sharon James - Chairwoman of Bournemouth Ballet Club
''Bournemouth Ballet Club has gone back to its roots with Secrets of the Seasons, showcasing original ballet choreography alongside contemporary, jazz, lyrical and street dance; fusing it all together with a magical fairytale storyline by Hailey prince
I am truly delighted to see so many dancers and singers performing in this production. Over the last 5 months our cast, with members ranging from 7 to 19 years, have grown in confidence and ability and friendships have been formed which will follow the dancers through life.
Hailey went on from Bournemouth's local dance schools to take up a place at Elmhurst Ballet School . It is wonderful for our cast to see that with a huge amount of hard work and dedication, they may follow in Hailey's footsteps and then return, to give something back to their community.
My special thanks go to Hailey prince, our choreographer and artistic director, for her hard work and enthusiasm, making this a truly magical show.''

Secret of the Seasons Review
Not having watched a ballet performance before I was slightly skeptical that I would enjoy Bournemouth Ballet clubs 'Secret of the Seasons' at Poole 's Lighthouse.
But I was genuinely taken back and hugely impressed by the energy and passion of the dancers as they threw themselves effortlessly and elegantly around the stage in unison to the music.
The show was hugely atmospheric and I quickly found myself pleasantly immersed in this warm and absorbing tale of Mother Nature and the seasons.
Hailey Prince's choreography was stunning and it was a joy to watch the numerous dancers as they confidently and boldly portrayed the power struggle between 'Gornarg' and 'Sunralia'.
The 'Halloween Gathering' was superb and the solo 'Summertime' by Jojo Laurani was moving and mesmerizing. The music and costumes were excellent and the singing throughout was heartfelt.
All the dancers gave mature performances despite the young age of some. The 'Seasonal Fairies Ritual Dance' was very absorbing and helped establish the magical atmosphere that oozed from the stage.
As a recent ballet skeptic I have been quickly converted by 'Secrets of the Seasons' and would recommend keeping an eye on future performances from Bournemouth Ballet Club and Hailey Prince. A great show.
